Millennial Scientific is pleased to announce that the Indian Patent Office has granted Patent No. 582019, titled ‘A Process for Synthesis of Carbon Beads,’ based on Indian Patent Application No. 202247045432. This patent corresponds to Millennial Scientific’s core microdroplet‑based process for the synthesis of carbon and other custom microbeads and is granted for a term of 20 years from March 2, 2021, in accordance with the Indian Patents Act, 1970.

The granted patent protects Millennial Scientific’s differentiated approach to manufacturing carbon beads using a specialized microfluidic process designed for high‑viscosity carbon‑containing slurries. The issued claims cover key steps in forming controlled spherical droplets and converting them into carbon beads, as well as compositions and optional additives that enable tuning bead structure and performance for chromatography, purification, and other advanced materials applications.
The grant of this Indian patent further strengthens Millennial Scientific’s global IP position for its microdroplet‑based materials manufacturing platform, complementing corresponding protection in the United States, China, and Japan. India is a strategically important jurisdiction for the Company, given the country’s growing role in biopharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, and analytical sciences.
