Millennial Scientific is pleased to report that the Chinese Patent Office has issued the Company a Notice of Allowance concerning its NanoPak-C All Carbon microbead manufacturing technology. This innovative technology, which involves continuous flow materials chemistry within microdroplets, underpins its suite of chromatography products. The Notice of Allowance is a formal notification indicating that the examination of the invention has been completed by the Chinese Patent Office and is allowed for issuance as a patent. The Company's patent attorney will complete documentation and submit fees for formally issuing the Chinese patent.
"China is one of the prominent markets for chromatography media for pharmaceutical separation and
purification, with an adoption rate that leads the global markets today. They have a mature separation and purification industry with great innovators and the presence of the world's largest chromatography media manufacturers. Therefore, we are proud to have our technology recognized as a novel invention by the Chinese Patent Office," said Balaji Sitharaman, President of Millennial Scientific.
"The separation industry constantly needs advanced, practical, and efficient separation and purification technology. Securing patents for our novel composition, methods, and applications is crucial for Millennial Scientific to expand its global presence as an innovative leader," said Michael Parente, co-inventor.
Upon formal issuance, the Chinese patent (Patent Application No. 202180014913.7) will join Millennial Scientific's recently issued Japanese patents in Japan (Patent Application No. 2022-550784). The patent term is 20 years from the application filing date. The Company has also filed National Phase Patent Applications for the United States, the European Union, India, and South Korea, marking a significant step in our global expansion.
