R&D 100 Awards Finalist - NanoPak-C All Carbon Microbead Technology

Millennial Scientific’s NanoPak-C All Carbon stationary phase material technology has been selected as a finalist in the 2022 annual R&D100 Awards in the Analytical/Test category. The prestigious awards are Widely known as the “Oscars of Invention” and have a 60-year history of honoring excellence in technology innovations. The award identifies and celebrates the top technology products and services that are or will make a difference in our everyday lives. The R&D Awards received entries from a dozen countries and regions this year. Fifty well-respected industry professionals judged the entries from across the globe.

“NanoPak-C All Carbon stationary phase material underpins Millennial Scientific’s suite of products,” said Dr. Balaji Sitharaman, founder and president of Millennial Scientific. “It was conceived to be a disruptive improvement in pharmaceutical extraction, separation, and purification outside the current state of art capabilities. “This recognition is another validation of our work and its potential scientific, societal, and commercial impact. The “an honor just to be finalist” cliché holds true here like it does for major entertainment awards like the Oscars or Golden Globes.”

The NanoPak-C carbon microspheres can be synthesized using carbon sources such as carbon black, graphite, graphene, carbon nanotubes, or fullerenes through the unique combination of material composition and proprietary microfluidic-based manufacturing process; something not previously possible.

The 100 awards winners will be announced later this month and presented by R&D World Magazine at a banquet later this year.
